Alpha-2-Macroglobulin, Or A2M Injection Therapy
Alpha-2-Macroglobulin uses proven scientific techniques and natural healing methods to successfully treat arthritis at its source. It is used to prevent cartilage breakdown in patients, promote tissue growth and support the overall restoration of an affected joint. The existence of A2M has been known for over fifty years, but the discovery of its potential role in slowing the progression of arthritis is recent.
INHIBITING CARTILAGE BREAKDOWN WITH A2M
A2M treatment is used to relieve pain, hinder or prevent the collapse and loss of joint height, as well as promote tissue growth and support overall joint restoration.
A2M protein extracted from your blood through a simple process
RECENT RESEARCH STUDIES SUGGEST THAT THERAPEUTIC INJECTION OF CONCENTRATED A2M MAY:
INHIBIT
the breakdown of cartilage and shut down destructive inflammatory proteins in the joint
PREVENT
the arthritis which often occurs after an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) repair
MINIMIZE
the development of post-traumatic osteoarthritis
In addition, there is data suggesting that there is also a regenerative component to A2M which can further help the joint, spinal disc or soft tissue recover.
A2M inhibits the actions of certain types of proteinases. Proteinases are enzymes that break down proteins. A2M inhibits certain of these proteinase types that degrade the collagen within cartilage. By inhibiting these proteins, A2M may inhibit or prevent the breakdown of joint cartilage.
Myers Cocktail
Myers’ Cocktail is a supplement and vitamin IV infusion thought to help battle anti aging and assist in chronic disease therapy. In addition, it is believed to help the body recover from various disease states.
Although not many rigorous scientific tests have been done on this treatment, a great deal of anecdotal evidence exists to support its efficacy.
Myer’s Cocktail is believed to have many benefits including:
- Resolves digestion issues;
- Combats chronic exhaustion;
- Helps energize your body; and,
- Fights infection and fatigue.
Myers’ Cocktail was named after physician John Myers MD who came up with this mixture in the 1960s. It has recently been “rediscovered” and is gaining a scientific following. The vitamins and minerals contained in Myers’ Cocktail are important in the normal functioning of nerves and muscles (magnesium and calcium), metabolism and conversion of food into energy (vitamin B complex), and protection against cell damage (vitamin C). The mixture is given via the intravenous route, so your digestive system is bypassed, and a much higher level of nutrients is directly delivered to your cells throughout the bloodstream. It is infused through a slow IV drip that can take between 30 to 60 minutes.
Dr. Myers’ own studies centered on the importance of nutritional absorption into the body’s circulatory system. It became clear to him that only minimal amounts of nutrients were finding their way from the digestive tract into the bloodstream. Inspiration struck. Dr. Myers mixed key vitamins and minerals and turned them into an intravenous fluid. After conducting medical tests on animals, then himself, he tested his “cocktail” on human participants. The results were nothing less than remarkable.
The typical patient receiving a Myer’s will experience an increase in energy, improved mind clarity, decreased depression and anxiety, improved mood, faster recovery times, and less illness. We have athletes who benefit from a Myer’s before and after strenuous events and it is also used as hangover treatment.

Is Orthobiologic Medicine Therapy Right For You?
Although Orthobiologic Medicine Therapy is considered by some people to be experimental, various research studies show that cellular therapy and platelet rich plasma injections can provide excellent relief from joint and musculoskeletal pain and ongoing inflammation.
